He's okay Coxie, as I like to call him, but until the waistband of his trousers is somewhere in the region of his upper chest like Sir Patrick Moore I can't take him that seriously as an astronomer.

I met Sir Patrick Moore on the Mersey ferry once. True story.

Well as i thought turned out to be the only program worth watching(weekend tv is crap),i dont pretend to understand it all,but Brian Cox has a way of holding your interest,a master of his craft.

RE: Wonders of the Universe - Starblade - 07-03-2011 06:28

A charismatic, informative presenter and beautiful cinematography make it a top notch series for me. I understand that for some it would not be their cup of tea though. Maybe you have to be a dreamer Smile

I once explained to a friend, how the gold their ring was made from, formed during a massive stellar explosion billions of years ago and you could gradually see her loosing the will to live Smile So I try and keep my cosmic rants to a minimum now.

It was more of a travel program from Brian Cox, than a science documentary Sad

That's my gripe. Not only does it look like a very wealthy professor is getting to travel the world at the tax payers expense he also likes to subtly push his own personal believes on people in the disguise of science, which I loath.
