I don't know why Wigan let Mickey Higham go but I'm sure they will have a good season. There defence is top notch and they bloody love coming to Headingley and doing us over. Have you seen the new play-off rules...a total farce. Anyway, lets hope Ellery Hanley continues his legendary status and wins Dancing on Ice.Yeah you'll have to hope that Greg Eastwood doesn't end up like Michael Crocker although he shouldn't having no criminal record and as for Bradford good luck in getting him over here and then getting him back again after his court case, obviously if he had chosen us and not Bradford I would have a whole different view on the matter. As for Higham we have a similar style player in Mclorum and in my view we wanted a different style of hooker when we interchange them like St helens have with Cunningham and Roby don't really think that will effect us as long as Smith and Lealului gel together. Definitely look forward to going to Headingley and playing you guys there always great games and personally don't mind the new play-off system. There is deffo a buzz downhere. People who don't usually watch rl are interested so that's a start. The brewery field has only got a small capacity, but fingers crossed we can fill it every home game, otherwise all this will have been a bit of a waste. We have pretty much promised we can fill the stadium, so fingers crossed. I think we set the highest attendance in the league 2 so that was good. I'm defo going to more games, i think its £12 for a standing ticket so not that bad, and about £150 for a season ticket. We haven't had the best of starts to the super league with visa problems, but we are not letting that ruin it for us. I will be at all home games, so if anyone fancies an away trip ![]() RE: Superleague - wastou - 05-02-2009 21:03 "junglebo Wrote:There is deffo a buzz downhere. All the best for tomorrow and the season ahead. RE: Superleague - jungleboy - 05-02-2009 23:17 Cheers mate. I will still be following wigan this year too. So hoping they can win el super league this year. If there is one thing that dissapoints me this year, it has to be the new kits. Not a big fan. Mecca Bingo too lol! One thing is for sure, we are welsh and are going to get a lot of stick, and the fact that we took a spot from an English club too makes it a little worse! Maybe a Scottish team next??? Looking forward to some banter tho, i've been to both the millennium magic weekends and the fans are wonderful! Lots of banter, and no violence! It's a shame that the year we get into the super league, they take MM up north ![]() RE: Superleague - Colbert Rules - 06-02-2009 03:32 I'm going to the Crusaders game tonight, I can't believe they haven't played pre-season friendly though...seems abit strange that! RE: Superleague - wastou - 06-02-2009 23:52 Leeds 28-6 Celtic Celtic gave a good account of them selves not the greatest of matches in terms of quality but after seeing the crusaders I'd definitely back them to beat Salford next week. RE: Superleague - Colbert Rules - 07-02-2009 03:52 Yeah, I thought the game was pretty poor but it's good to see more players coming through the ranks. I don't think Manly will be too scared of us after that performance. Other results - Leeds 28 - Wakefield 22 Salford 10 - Warrington 27 RE: Superleague - Jam Da Man - 11-06-2010 21:50 Tonight's results - Hull FC 34 Salford 12 ![]() Warrington 35 Hull KR 16 ![]() ST Helens 30 Huddersfield 22 RE: Superleague - Billy_Nomates - 21-05-2014 11:56 I think if we are honest 14 teams in the Superleague is too many. They played 27 round matches, then the top 8(!) go into that Aussie style play-off system which the Aussies themselves don't really understand. The franchise system has gone out of the window to be replaced by promotion and relegation which never worked successfully before. ![]() |
