Res 2 is a classic,Did not like Res 3

They still wont let you shoot and move at the same time. This makes no sence.

I heard a rumour that Wolfenstein 3 is on its way is this true?

Just played the Resi 5 demo, was quite disappointed actually. The computer controlled character with you was a fucking idiot and when they die it was game over. Hopefully the AI will improve before the proper release or the computer controlled partner will be removed. I thought the controls, graphics, sounds and general effects were all excellent

Apparantly the AI controlled ally is really good all of the game sites have been saying, but yeah I played in single player in the demo once and she just stood there and let the executioner thwomp her, so my experience with her was none too good either. The benefit of having a best mate who is really good at games (like myself if I don't sound too cocky) and likes the exact same games as me, I never have to worry about crappy AI controlled Co-op buddies.

And yeah the lack of movement while shooting is put in on purpose to add to the tension and the anxiety because you are shooting an enemy bearing down on you, if you have tried to kill Sackhead in 4 with a pistol, you will know that can be probably the most tense moment in gaming. That is also why the game doesn't pause with the inventory open anymore, it can be a pain but it works very well at what it intends to do. I cannot wait for this game, I want it so much, but I have the new Castlevania and Chrono Trigger on the DS to bide me over till then so I have no worries, Chrono Trigger could last me the year it is so good.

A review of Resident Evil 5:

RE: Resident Evil 5 - SmĀ© - 14-03-2009 10:45

just started playing it.
nearly shat myself when 3 zombie dogs came right out of nowhere Big Grin

RE: Resident Evil 5 - Ducky - 14-03-2009 10:57

I'm playing it too. Had my bro round yesterday and we co-op played it. The executioner is slow and combersome. Unfortunately, so is the aiming! Why is it so heavy? Like a zombie moves slowly yet it's STILL faster than the targeting on my gun.

Aside from that, it's pretty cool.
Not as scary as Dead Space though- that triumph of survival horror, truly frightened the be-jaysus outta me!

RE: Resident Evil 5 - mas0887 - 15-03-2009 05:14

Just completed it, and can I say, there was not one thing wrong with this game, I fucking loved it, actually scrap that, the final boss was a bit gay, the method that me and my mate were doing doesn't actually allow you to beat it, and it seems like the best method we were using, really fucking dumb. But aside from that it was a fucking amazing game, not quite as good as RE4 but there are only like 4 other games that are that good. The co-op was the bollocks though and the whole game just never lets up, easy 10/10 for me, now I just have to get the full 1000 gamerpoints in it, watch this space......
