RE: Who will be relegated in the 2011/12 season? - iamthatjack - 11-03-2012 11:37 Seeing how awful the bottom 5 have been this year, they all deserve to go down. None deserve to stay up. But I think Wigan and Wolves are certain to go down, and I chose QPR as the 3rd to go as their remaining fixtures are pretty tough RE: Who will be relegated in the 2011/12 season? - Nylonsub - 11-03-2012 11:40 Wolves Wigan Blackburn RE: Who will be relegated in the 2011/12 season? - rocksaviour - 12-03-2012 14:45 Of course I can't pick my team of the almighty Blackburn Rovers and I think we are now getting into some sort of form and can pull away. With us I think Bolton will survive with the other three going down, not going to need the 'magical and safe' 40 points though it'll be less that I think this season. RE: Who will be relegated in the 2011/12 season? - Regenerated - 12-03-2012 15:19 I don't know if we'll finish bottom, but I certainly can't see us scoring a goal at the moment, let alone win another game. It does seem that the points total needed will be much less than in previous years, with 5 teams leagues ahead of everyone else in terms of shitness. ![]() Wolves are in chaos in the boardroom and management and thats never a good thing, Blackburn don't win enough away, Bolton don't win enough at home, Wigan don't win at all, and QPR have the toughest fixtures remaining. We'll see who survives but I reckon its three from four now, I think Rovers are coming in to form at the right time. So that leaves the Wolves, the Trotters, the Latics and the er.. R's.. ![]() They're all crap - so take your pick ![]() RE: Who will be relegated in the 2011/12 season? - Money_Shot - 20-04-2012 13:47 Just over a month a go and Wigan looked doomed. After a decent run where they beat Liverpool, United and Arsenal, should have got something from Chelsea, they've dragged themselves out the relegation zone. Q.P.R have also picked up points, and it is Blackburn and Bolton who must be wondering when their next win will come. Wolves in my opinion, relegated themselves when they sacked Big Mick. RE: Who will be relegated in the 2011/12 season? - Money_Shot - 22-04-2012 08:23 So, with another Saturday passed, Wigan found themselves back in the mix after losing 2-1 away to Fulham. This now drops Wigan to 17th and on equal points with Q.P.R, who move up thanks to a brilliant 1-0 win against Spurs. Q.P.R have a superior goal difference to Wigan, although both teams will be looking over their shoulders because Blackburn Rovers secured a 2-0 win at home to Norwich. Blackburn sit in 18th place on 31 points, 3 points behind both Q.P.R and Wigan who have 34 points. Blackburn do have an equal GD with Wigan, so any result which betters theirs will see the two sides swap places. Bolton came from behind yesterday to draw 1-1 with Swansea. Bolton sit in 19th place at the moment with 30 points although have 2 games in hand on the teams above them. In my opinion Bolton will need to get something from the game away against Aston Villa on Tuesday night. Aston Villa could potentially find themselves being dragged into this, but if they can defeat Bolton on Tuesday then they'll secure Premier League status for another season. Wolves play Man City today which I *think* could confirm relegation to the Championship if the game ends in defeat. I would put my house on Wolves going down, who trail Wigan by 11 points. RE: Who will be relegated in the 2011/12 season? - dan g 27 - 22-04-2012 11:48 I still think QPR will go down, because they have two tough away games at Chelsea and Man City RE: Who will be relegated in the 2011/12 season? - fazzer77 - 22-04-2012 12:09 QPR, Blackburn and Wolves QPR - too little too late with Mark Hughes coming in, HOWEVER he should bring them straight back up. Blackburn - Just dont think Steve Kean is good enough to be a manager at this level. Wolves - Real internal problems that need a 'good sort out' - may struggle next season in The Championship RE: Who will be relegated in the 2011/12 season? - Money_Shot - 22-04-2012 13:10 These are the remaining fixtures left to play out. I have included Aston Villa, although I think they will be safe...
