Sky News just reported Muamba's in a stable condition. Good news.

As a Bolton fan the last couple of hours have been truly horrible. The reports seem to be encouraging at the moment and I wanted to commend all the medical staff who treated Fab and, it would seem, kept him alive. Also huge credit to the Spurs fans whose reaction, from all reports, was exemplary. My thoughts and best wishes are with Fab and his family and the rest of the squad and staff.

Bolton Wanderers and the hospital released following statement at 21.30hrs, "Patrice Muamba was admitted to the Heart Attack ward of the The London Chest Hospital where he remains critically ill in intensive care"

I've got Radio 5 Live on now, they're doing a special extended phone in talking to many of his fans. I've also got Sky Sports News on. It's a very tense evening. We all send our thoughts to him, to his fans and to his family at this difficult time. Sad

"Doesn't matter who you support. Doesn't matter if you aren't a football fan. Doesn't matter if you aren't religious. Pray for Fabrice Muamba." Tottenham defender Kyle Walker

"I'm so sad about what happened to Fabrice Muamba today. Played with him for a couple of years. What a great guy. Always a smile on his face. Please Fabrice bring that smile back. My thoughts are with you and your lovely family!" Arsenal captain Robin van Persie

A "critical 24 hours" for Muamba. Hopefully the quick actions of the medics and the fight he's shown has all been enough so he can fully recover. Would be even better if he was playing football again soon. However life if more important then that.

Get well soon Muamba
