There is no limit on substitutions Most of them play in every match. The only ones that you don't want to use are the two reserve quarterbacks. You need different squads for attacking, defending and special teams. RE: American Football - The Rules - Rammyrascal - 25-03-2012 21:37 depends on how the game goes with injuries etc RE: American Football - The Rules - Boomerangutangangbang - 25-03-2012 22:02 Don't expect to learn all the rules in one go.Stick with it,just watch the games, the more you pick up,the more enjoyment you'll get out of it.If you love stats like me,even better. RE: American Football - The Rules - Boomerangutangangbang - 26-03-2012 17:32 This might sound daft, but if your a gamer have a go at the John Madden games available on consoles/PC.Easy to play & learn at the same time. What about when it's a draw? How many minutes of extra time do they play? In the NFL they play an extra period of up to 15 mins. The NFL has now adopted the playoff overtime rules for the regular season starting 2012-2013. Teams will not be able to win the game with a field goal on the first possession of overtime. But if either team scores a touchdown on their first possession, that team wins. If the team who gets the ball first kicks a field goal, then the opposing team will also get a possession, and if they to kick a field goal, the game continues to sudden death. If the opposing team fails to kick a field goal on its first possession, that team loses. If that team score a touchdown on its first possession after the first team only kicked a field goal or failed to score at all, the opposing team wins. In the past, NFL overtime was sudden death, with the winner of the overtime coin toss automatically put in the best position to win the game. If neither team score in overtime the game ends tied. But in the playoffs they play on until there is a winner. |
