I always thoughtDC did a poor job with the Green Arrow comics he received a new lease of life with Smallville but Marvel did a much better job with their equivalent in Hawkeye.

Personally i think the Green Arrow comics over the years have been pretty good, fair enough his never been in the same league as lets say the Batman or Superman but has done some serious story lines like one of his side kicks Mia Dearden, the new Speedy, was revealed to be HIV positive a subject rarely touched upon in comics. In the 70's Green Arrow had deal with the first Speedy Aka Roy Harper being addicted to heroin and finally breaking the habit thanks to Black Carney and of course the close friendship Green Arrow and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and with both them teaming and deal with real life current events in america with problems of corruption, racism, pollution.
