Another test and series win for England at home then. Their home record is excellent in recent years but the series against South Africa will I suspect produce a much sterner challenge than fnr quite some time given the strength of their batting and bowling.

Yes a comfortable win for England in the end, although with West Indies only conceding a first innings lead of 58 it looked for a time like it could be a close match. Since 2000 West Indies have lost 17 of 26 Tests played against England. They have won only 2 in the same period - at Edgbaston in 2000 and Jamaica in 2009.

The difference between the sides was that England picked 5 Test quality bowlers against WI with ODI specialist.Gayle will make a difference if he plays in the next match,but how did they leave out Tino after his Man of the Match Performance.
