RE: Frankel V Black Caviar - lovebabes56 - 22-05-2012 06:30 So where would you like to see the two meet? (If it was possible). I would agree that he has been beating better quality horses than she has, but don't forget she has already run a couple of times while Frankel was injured. Yet has she beaten any of the best in Australia? And would it be better for Frankel to beat her in Australia? RE: Frankel V Black Caviar - Gun33 - 22-05-2012 07:35 The Sussex Stakes at Goodwood is the most likely race for them to meet in. Black Caviar will have to step up in trip because Frankel won't be going down in trip. As highly as I rate Frankel I still think Sea The Stars is the best flat horse I've ever seen because he won big races at different distances but I certainly don't rule out Frankel doing the same! RE: Frankel V Black Caviar - cwpussylover - 22-05-2012 18:46 heard goodwood wud put up a million quid if they meet, ur right about sea the stars, but if frankel wins the eclipse id believe, fuckin shame sea the stars and frankel cudnt mix it ![]() RE: Frankel V Black Caviar - groundnpound - 23-05-2012 00:44 Camelot looks the real deal to me. Theres talk of him going for the triple crown. He'll win the derby at a canter to go with his 2000 guineas! Could meet Frankel in the eclipse if he comes out of it ok. Then onto the st ledger. He could make Frankel think a bit. RE: Frankel V Black Caviar - lovebabes56 - 04-06-2012 06:35 Not only that there's triple crown history to be made on both sides of the Atlantic!! i'll have Another attempTs to win US American triple crown for the first time since 1978, while Camelot for the St Leger in September will be the first to win it since Nijinsky in 1970. My gut instinct is that Camelot will sidestep the Eclipse and may go for the King George instead which would be the best option and then he'd have enough time to recover for the crack at the St. Leger. And if he does go for the King George maybe that is where he will meet Frankel, but I think Frankel would be too clever for him. What I do hope that is that If Camelot wins the Triple Crown, would it make trainers look at the feat more closely and train a horse specially for it? Yet don't forget at present Camelot is only rated 124 and Frankel is rated way higher. RE: Frankel V Black Caviar - Signboy - 05-06-2012 08:42 No way Frankel and Camelot meet in the King Gerorge, Frankel is likely to go for the Queen Anne (maybe the POW) at Ascot and then will be stepped up to a max of 10 furlongs, Possibly starting in the Eclipse or the International at York, As for rating Sea The Stars being better than Frankel that is just crazy. I've been watching racing for 30 years and wouldn't rate STS in the top 10, Yeah he won the Guineas, Derby, Eclipse, KG, Ir Champ and Arc which no other horse has done but the horses he was beating were poor. Does beating average horses make you a all time great? Delegator, Fame and Glory, Rip Van Winkle, Mastercraftsman and Youmzain where his victims in his biggest wins and none of those horses would rank in the top 30 over the last 30 years. Interestingly both FAG and RVW ratings were both lowered the following year by 4lbs because their rating couldn't be justified, Why wasn't STS rating adjusted like they did by dropping Dancing Brave down to 140 from 141? Oh and back to the subject, Frankel beats Black caviar from 6f upwards.
