RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - iamthatjack - 28-08-2012 15:14 Would be fun to allocate a random team to 32 members here, making the Champions League more interesting! Interested? I'll throw my hat in there RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - dan g 27 - 28-08-2012 15:22 (28-08-2012 15:07 )groundnpound Wrote: I don't fancy Juventus at all for this lads. Three of you have mentioned them! There's 10 teams in the competition with a better chance for me. Serie A's not the same anymore, it's a pale shadow of the league it used to be. The Juve manager is banned for the full season as well. Would steer well clear if your having a bet.Name the 10 better teams than Juventus RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - dan g 27 - 28-08-2012 15:25 (28-08-2012 15:14 )iamthatjack Wrote: Would be fun to allocate a random team to 32 members here, making the Champions League more interesting! Interested? What so someone gets a team such as Man United and have to stick with that team throughout the Champions League Is that how it works? RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - iamthatjack - 28-08-2012 15:38 Yeah pretty much, just another way to make the Champions League more fun RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - Money_Shot - 28-08-2012 16:30 (28-08-2012 15:22 )dan g 27 Wrote: Name the 10 better teams than Juventus As i agree with groundandpound I will name 6 clubs that in my opinion ARE better then Juve... Chelsea Real Madrid Man United Man City Barcelona Bayern Munich With arguably these sides who are all on par at least, if not better... Arsenal Dortmund Milan PSG Could possibly put Valencia in the mix, they are a bit of an unknown quantity though. RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - iamthatjack - 28-08-2012 16:37 I agree with your top 6, but Juve are better than Milan, Arsenal and Dortmund, and PSG haven't gelled yet. Remember this a Juve team that went the whole league season unbeaten! I'll throw Valencia and Porto in there as well. Juventus fall into the Ajax, Benfica, Schalke, Lille type category for me. RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - dan g 27 - 28-08-2012 16:45 Your right about the top six Money that are better than Juventus. I think though Juventus are on par with Arsenal and Dortmund and are better than AC Milan and PSG. AC Milan are going backwards in my opinion and are thinking of replacing Ibrahimovic with Bendther, that says it all. PSG, as said above, still need to gel RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - iamthatjack - 28-08-2012 17:29 (28-08-2012 16:40 )groundnpound Wrote:(28-08-2012 15:22 )dan g 27 Wrote: Name the 10 better teams than Juventus I really can't see how Juve are thought of as similar to those teams. They are just a little notch away from the Top 6 mentioned, surely (bar Milan now you mention it) RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - mitchell - 28-08-2012 19:21 I'd have to say I see the winners coming from Barca, Bayern, Dortmund or Real. Barca are Barca & Messi's had a full summer off & has started like a train.... Well he hasn't actually as a train starts slow (Thought I'd state that before some witty shit did!), Bayern Munich look strong & Dortmund's young side have another years experience, Man city will be hard to beat & their defence should sort itself out by the knockout stage. As much as it looks like Chelsea have changed tactics I still think he'd apply the same as last season in this comp especially if they get out of the group. I don't see Juve causing any more of a problem than say Porto or Arsenal. |
