He leaves a legacy, a set of creations that have gained huge numbers of fans - they will retain a cult status following forever. Endlessy imitated but never duplicated - Gerry's 'Supermarionation' puppetry will always remain a moment of television genius.

I saw 'Four Feather Falls' and was a fan of Gerry's work from then.

Not only did he influence many, but he also brought happy memories to generations via his creations. A true great. RIP

Gerry gave us some wonderful creations, brought to life with fantastic visual and special effects by Derek Meddings and the unforgettable music of Barry Gray, both no longer with us.

Thank you for some very happy memories.

Stingray, Fireball XL5, Thunderbirds, UFO, Captain Scarlet, Joe90, Space 1990. One guy made all these shows. That they formed such a large and important part of my childhood and that of thousands of others speaks volumes. I hope the BBC have the rights to show these series again as a fitting tribute.
