Can't be a holding midfielder if you can't hold it....

Versatile 20 year old Leicester forward, Schlupp is on trial at United. He has played at left back and it's maybe that this is the role he is being considered for. With Evra ageing and Buttner out of his depth it's certainly an area we need to strengthen.
Palace Winger, Wilfried Zaha's deal is rumoured to be concluded within 48 hours....or if you read other papers, on the verge of collapse bladewave I would be surprised if United do much this window, Fergie prefers to do his deals in the summer.

Carrick certainly made a mess of that back pass to let Rodriguez in on goal. Gave De Gea no chance. De Gea is a promising young keeper and gets too much flack in my opinion-yes he can flap on crosses but he is a great shot stopper. Also De Gea has been made to look worse due to our patched up defence. Any keeper would struggle with having to contend with that for most of the season.
We have defended too deeply too this season which always puts a lot of pressure on a goalie. The return of Vidic has improved the defence somewhat but we need a strong replacement for Ferdinand. Evans, Smalling and Jones are more than decent but do switch off at times to our cost.
The rumour is that we will be buying Garay from Benfica in the summer. He should bolster the defence somewhat.

he is a gud shot stopper but he does make alot of mistakes like u say especially on crosses! but yesterday i think carrick probably will take the blame for that goal on his own shoulders! he put him in a position where he coundnt handle it and i think he was unsure wot to do, not sure wot he cud hav dun 2 be honest. if he handled it wud he get carded? i dont know the rule but im guessing it wud hav been a free kick as well

Great to see Kagawa hit a hat trick today. He's been plagued by injuries most of the season. If he can get a decent run in the remaining games we should start to see his real talent.
