I guess we'll find out more as time goes on, but the police have confirmed that they have attended the property for alleged claims of domestic troubles. We know from the Olympics that he's a bit of a hot head, but that doesn't necessarily translate to being capable of murder.
I don't know if the number of shots is indicative of panic fire or rage, but firing off four on target shots is fairly easy if you use a firearm with any regularity. Having said that, we don't know how many shots were fired in total, or how quickly they were fired, so it's all conjecture at this time.
More than anything, it's just a very sad situation when someone loses their life.

He should face the highest penalty available, he shot an innocent person atleast 4 times, regardless of what he has achieved or who he is shouldn't come into it...

Going by South African newspaper report, it now appears a cricket bat with blood on it has been found at the scene. It gets darker, if true.

She was seen at the bottom of the stairs with blankets and towels over her by his friend that went round.
So she supposed to have startled him when waking, enough for him to have the ware with all to reach over and find his gun, aim it at her, shoot her 4 times, and her to end up at the bottom of the stairs.
WTF kind of dream was he having? We all would just go 'huh, wha, what's happening, what time is it' when woke up.
He killed her.

Report saying they think she was shot in the hip, in the bedroom, and ran into the toilet. He then fired another 3 shots through the door. His defence have put together a powerful team of lawyers and medical experts. By the time they are done she will have turned the gun on herself methinks. So he has cancelled all his running engagements till after the trial. That's good of him lol
