thats nonsense companies want an eefective well trained workforce good tax and other regulations as well a good market for there goods and services more than an expensive train line

There are only 3 certainties in life. Death, Taxes and Government Infrastructure Projects always cost twice the initial estimate.

It's a waste of money. It won't cut enough off journey times and even the official estimate is far too much. We could upgrade a lot of roads and still have money left for Ice Cream.

yeah yet to see one goverment project to be run on time and on schedule. thing is it wont be british companies that will get the money

NOW IT has come to light recently that the HS2 project spending is 'out of control' and could go over budget :-
