RE: Cricket Season - birdlime - 07-05-2009 19:36 West Indies are 39/2 at stumps on day 2 in their 2nd innings. RE: Cricket Season - birdlime - 08-05-2009 19:56 England won by 10 wickets. Here is the link http://content.cricinfo.com/engvwi2009/engine/current/match/380712.html RE: Cricket Season - mrwotzup - 08-05-2009 20:01 Bring on the Aussies Bet they`re quaking in thier boots(not) Will the real Windies turn up in the next match, they had next to none real preparation. The next Test Match starts next week and I fear the worst (for them) RE: Cricket Season - birdlime - 08-05-2009 20:09 I expect England to win the 2nd test as the West Indies will find it quite difficult as its a lot cooler up the north east of England however Shivnarine Chanderpaul does play his county cricket for Durham. So do I but I would think it might be a bit harder this time as I expect Shivnarine Chanderpaul to play a major part , hes a class act. RE: Cricket Season - birdlime - 11-05-2009 16:25 Just played cricket yesterday against Hertfordshire Harriers who are based in Cheshunt. I play my home matches in Welwyn didn't have a good day with the bat only score 2 runs although my bowling was an improvement but was wicketless as my teammate failed to get an stumping but will be playin Wales next month again home match. RE: Cricket Season - Gordon_Bennett - 11-05-2009 16:54 G@Z! Wrote:thanks to channel 4 losing the cricket rights i have lost all interest in the sport A good point. I used to be really interested in Cricket and I followed Hampshire and of course England. But over the past decade or so I have gradually lost interest mainly because of the antics of the "Barmy Army". I hate the way they have destroyed following the game in this country. They are just a bunch of football hooligans who have latched on to cricket because it's cheaper than following football. I know a couple of Asian chaps who are besotted with cricket and avidly follow India and Pakistan although they've never been there. T20 is crap - not proper cricket in my view. RE: Cricket Season - birdlime - 14-05-2009 19:36 England are 302/2 on the 1st first Alastair Cook is unbeaten on 126 and Ravi Bopara got 108 runs as for the West Indies they are freezing to death and if your an England cricket fan the bad news is that its raining tomorrow. RE: Cricket Season - Colbert Rules - 15-05-2009 02:26 God, I used to love watching the West Indies as a kid. Curtly, Marshall, Walsh & Richardson were my Cricket heroes. |
