Two more actors have joined the show actor Doug Jones (Hellboy) he will play @Lt. Saru not only will he be a science officer but a alien too. Anthony Rapp will play another science officer "Lt. Stamets and will be gay.
Michelle Yeoh who was first to be cast will play Captain Georgiou and the Starship will be called the Shenzhou.

Three new cast members British Actor Shazad Latif has been cast as a Klingon officer named Kol, Chris Obi has been cast as another Klingon called T'Kuvma and actress Mary Chieffo will play L'Rell, "the Battle Deck Commander of a Klingon ship".

Actress Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead) has been cast as the main character in the show no news of her character name but will be playing a Lieutenant commander.

James Frain has joined the cast he will be playing Spocks father Sarek, also the series will miss its premiere for May as one of main cast members is still finishing up on another show so Discovery of being delayed.

It's being reported that Terry Serpico, Maulik Pancholy, and Sam Vartholomeos have joined the cast of the show. Serpico will play Admiral Anderson, a high-ranking official of Starfleet. Pancholy is Dr. Nambue, the chief medical officer of the Starship Shenzhou, and finally, Vartholomeos will portray Ensign Connor, a junior officer in Starfleet Academy. Plus the first look at the Klingons:
