A lovely bloke and a fine comic actor. His works with Mel Brooks (The Producers, Young Frankenstein etc) are gems, and he was one of the many great things about that Willy Wonka film.

Loved all his comic films.
Agree See No Evil... is my favourite and that is one of the best lines together with "Left, Right, Cow!"

An extremely talented comedy actor who was also a genuinely decent bloke. His work in Mel Brook's films are the stuff of legend (Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein) but he'll always be Willy Wonka to me. He's finally found his own Golden Ticket.

I'm sure one of Sky's movie channels is showing Stir crazy as a tribute tonight, not sure which one though.
