RE: Flash player plug in problems - Jam Da Man - 15-04-2017 20:45 I've not had this issue, though they have buggered about with Chrome's Flash settings a bit recently; moving stuff around. A few things to try - first go to the flags page, by Copying, then "Paste and Go" this into a new browser tab address bar - chrome://flags/#prefer-html-over-flash (not the exact link, but close to where we want to be.) You should see a page full of options, including these: Go down to the option - Run all Flash content when Flash setting is set to "allow" - should say default, but try changing it to Enabled. Then at the bottom of the screen, 'relaunch now' should appear, so click that. See if that works at all. Be careful not to change anything else on that page! Otherwise, is Flash enabled in the content settings? - chrome://settings/content And do you have the latest version of chrome? - chrome://help/ All I can think of. RE: Flash player plug in problems - stallion - 16-04-2017 10:49 I really am appreciating all the help you ladies and gents are giving me. A little update. I went onto s66 on google chrome and i get no problem. However when i go on to s66, adultwork & chat roulette when on incognito page i still have the same problem where the flash player doesn't work. As i'm sure you are aware discretion is paramount and i always use the incognito page for these sites as it means my gf will not find out the search history on the lap top Do any of you tech guys know why flash player works on normal google chrome but not when i'm on the incognito page? Sorry for all the questions. RE: Flash player plug in problems - stallion - 16-04-2017 11:12 Answering my own question. All is fixed now everything back to normal Thanks again for all your help. RE: Flash player plug in problems - glynn - 17-04-2017 09:43 I've not yet tried the rejigging Jam Da Man has said but it's still the same for me. One thing I have noticed is, in flash player settings I can't change the update page. It's on notify me to install updates, I wanted to change to the recommended setting of allowing Adobe to install updates but the page looks like it's frozen & can't be changed. I've not had a shockwave installer update for a while. Must be something to do with all the cyber shit going on with North Korea. RE: Flash player plug in problems - Jam Da Man - 17-04-2017 11:18 If you do try the stuff I posted, glynn, and none of it works, try disabling the prefer HTML over flash option, on the flags page that I linked to. That might work. RE: Flash player plug in problems - glynn - 17-04-2017 16:36 The HTML option worked Jam, thanks for that. I've just looked it up on a Adobe msg forum as well. RE: Flash player plug in problems - stallion - 17-04-2017 16:50 Yes jam that's what I tried and that's what worked for me.......happy camming again RE: Flash player plug in problems - Jam Da Man - 17-04-2017 17:03 Weyhey - nice one. I'd been using that prefer HTML switch a lot recently, for reasons I won't go into, but with the latest version of Chrome (57.x.x.x) it seems to have broken, along with some other stuff. Didn't help that they removed the plugins page too. |
