RE: Chris Cornell RIP - lovebabes56 - 18-05-2017 21:49 that is a real shame we can only wonder what might have prompted him to take such an unexpected and shocking step RE: Chris Cornell RIP - lovebabes56 - 19-05-2017 04:09 (18-05-2017 17:51 )Robot Devil Wrote: Sad sad news. It's pretty grim to think that of the four big grunge groups of the era - Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, & Nirvana, only one singer - the incredible Eddie Vedder - is left. In all honesty, Soundgarden were my least favourite of those, but Christ did Cornell have a great voice. RIP CC. I saw AIC support Megadeth at the Hammersmith in 93 I think it was I'm sure (And it probably was just after the first Gulf war started) and have to admit they certainly did give Megadeth a run for their money as well that night. I expect Eddie Vedder must feel a lot of pain too as he did work with Chris for a while I think but I have to say that I wasn't a huge Soundgarden fan at the time but a lot my friends were and were always encouraging me to listen to them and may be now I can go back and listen to some of that stuff and probably appreciate it better. Condolences prayers and thought to all of Chris' friends and family.
