Unconfirmed reports that it was a nail bomb. Photos on Twitter show a lot of lower limb injuries consistent with a device left on the ground.

19 killed 50 injured thus far, confirmed

What makes people do things like this.

Sadly, radicalisation, this is a result of the west slaughtering people by the hundreds of thousands in the middle east, allowing the influence of extremist.

I can't possibly think what sort of religious nut would object to teenage girls having fun.

Oh, wait a minute...

very sad what has happened. fantastic to see Manchester rallying round with taxi drivers offering free rides, people offering those stuck in Manchester rooms for the night and hotels taking in lost children

all my condolences to all those affected.

If I wasn't on my best behaviour, I would suggest that extreme violence be applied to the fuck heads who did this.

Another 'lone wolf' nut attack I suspect probably one who was rejected by girls and couldn't get his leg over - we have to wait and see who actually claims responsibility Condolences to all victims' families and those injured. I cannot begin to think why anyone would have thought it was a legitimate target but brings the sort of fear of the Bataclan attack in Paris very much close to home wonder if this now means extra security measures in place for Glastonbury?
