Was my bond growing up, watched every film last year from that box set, best bond, never took it seriously, tounge in cheek with out the over gross sexism of the early bonds.

Good life, good age, no complaints.

I admit that 'Shhhean' Rolleyes is still my favourite Bond (haven't bothered with any of the modern Bond films), but RM is a close second. Smile

Loved him in the excellent "The Saint", which I only saw for the first time a few years ago; likewise, the entertaining "The Persuaders!", with the late Tony Curtis.

In 'real life', particularly in his later years, he came across as warm, charismatic, debonair and somewhat self-deprecating. Cool

RIP.

Sean Connery may have been the original Bond, but Roger Moore made the role his own with his charisma, witty quips and those eyebrows. He never took himself too seriously and in his later years did a lot of charity work with UNICEF. RIP Sir Roger

Will always be one of my favourite bonds and loved his dry wit RIP

He gets my vote as best James Bond, too (and faced the best villain in Christopher Lee, for that matter). A well-balanced and thoughtful bloke, a great UNICEF ambassador, and unafraid to send himself up for comic purposes too. 89 is a mighty age.

RIP Sad
