Haven't posted on here in a dogs age.
Loved Cheggers and met in in 1983(ish) at a swap shop roadshow (trying to swap Ker Plunk for an X-Wing fighter, ambitious I know but nothing ventured nothing gained).Swap didn't come off but he was great about it. Met a further 2 times and each time he was a true gent.
When he reaches those pearly gates I hope he greets them with his cherry 'Wahey' and they wave him through with open arms and a big smile. He will be missed.

One of the warmest & bubbliest personalities on all tv with that infectious smile/giggle that you couldn't help but smile back at.I met him back-stage a few times at BBC studio's in the late 80's when I was a mere pup & there didn't seem to be any false pretense with him & he seemed the same bubbly character off-screen as on-screen.
With shows such as Multi-Coloured Swap Shop,Big Breakfast,CBB & not forgetting Naked Jungle (that show has been scarred in my brain for life).

A tragic loss in what has already been a shitty year for losing iconic celebrities.

RIP Keith thanks for the memories.

Cheggers was one of the biggest stars on kids tv during my childhood, and in the later years I enjoyed his appearances in extras where he was happy to laugh at himself. But my biggest Cheggers memory is of the one off show, the naked jungle, probably the greatest game show series never to be made. RIP Cheggers, you are a legend.

One of the last true links to my childhood gone RIP

We watched more Swap Shop than TISWAS even tried to make swap on the phone I wonder if any of us did make a swap or won a swap shop competition? Have to say he was a real children's star and was a very bubbly person on screen
Thanks Cheggers for brightening up my childhood!! All thoughts, prayers and love to his family and friends and all who worked with him
