if anderson can get the ball to reverse swing like Simon Jones did in 05 we could rip through there attack in late summer, broad has come on in leaps and bounds as well. he is very handy with the bat as well at number 7 or 8.

my England Team for the ashes would be

Cook
Strauss ©
Bopara
Vaughan
Pieterson
Flintoff
Broad
Swann
Anderson
Onions
Harmison or Hoggard

i would probably pick foster (not letting my essex bias come out lol). i think he is a superb gloveman and he is also a handy batsman

The team is certainly showing signs of improvement in this test series. They seem more aggressive and ruthless which is most definately needed against the aussies. Stuart Broad is a key man as he has plenty of fight in him and has the ability to score some runs down the order, as does swann. In swann we have a much better spinner than anyone they have so things are looking good in that department. As for batting, you can't really see Vaughny or bell getting back in the side so it looks like bopara is no.3. I would bat prior at 6 as he is fluent and positive. Flintoff should only get in the side once he has proved he is up for the challenge. Having him break down in the middle of a test would be a disaster.

yer the morale of the team would drop massivley if Flintoff got injured in the tour.

he should never have gone to the IPL, i don't care how much money he made, wearing the Three Lions on your shirt is a honour far greater than any amount of money.

well is to me anyway

Cook, Strauss, Bopara, Pietersen, Collingwood, Prior, Broad, Swann, Anderson, Onions
The other bowling spot is between Bresnan (haven't seen enough of him this series) and Harmison (if he can get his head right)
Doggie, I agree Fred is still an outstanding bowler but sadly I'm far from convinced of his ability to last a full test match without breaking down, let alone a full series. We could certainly do with him fully fit but I don't see it happening.

anyone going to any of the Tests anyway? im going to the Oval test can't wait, especially as we usually all way win the oval test.
