England's mini-revival on the 3rd evening of the match was ended in emphatic fashion on the 4th morning. Pakistan demolished England's lower order with the last 4 wickets falling in 3 overs for the addition of only 7 runs to the overnight score. Normal service resumed you could say, with a trademark England batting collapse. The final score of 242 all out left Pakistan needing only 64 to win.

Another dismal performance from England, they really need to clear out all the dead wood in the team, Malan, Stoneman, and Vince are just not good enough they should be dropped and not considered again. England would be better off opening with Hales or Roy and telling them to play in one day mode, even they were to just score a quick 40 or 50 at least it would be better than what we are getting now.

England have brought in Keaton Jennings as a replacement for the out of his depth Mark Stoneman

But they still need to bring in either Roy or Hayles to play at no4.

So they swap one failure for another, jennings has already been tried and he failed miserably, its time to get rid of Bayliss and bring in a new coach.

The worrying thing was that the inexperienced Pakistan bowlers got more swing that their England countaparts

Ben Stokes is an injury doubt for Fridays test.
Sam Curran has been drafted into the squad

What does worry me a lot is that the players clearly haven't got Australia totally out of their system

Yes Jennings has been tried and failed miserably before but he has been scoring runs lately & the selectors feel he deserves another opportunity. Our main problem I think is that lack of confidence has run through the side for far too long and it's a hard thing to get back when it hits rock bottom/ We threw away the first test when we simply didn't get enough runs in the top order and the Pakistan team exploited the conditions far better

Would you add Cook to that list?

^ Yeh! you could get rid of the matches top scorer. It's hard enought to find one replacement opener.
