Only two episodes in, House of the Dragon reminds me of when Star Wars: The Phantom Menace came out. Both went in for more political intrigue than the character drivers of the originals but kept in enough of the familiar elements (sex, violence, misogyny in this case) to remind you of the shared universe.
The Dragonstone scene was beautifully shot though, the budget showing through early doors.
A bit much too fuss being made about keeping the original theme music, though admittedly a bit lazy (or deliberate)

Only watched the first episode and it is a bit of a slow start.
