Actor Paul Wesley has been cast James T. Kirk for Season 2 with Season 1 already wrapped up Season 2 is currently filming.

I know it's for season 2 but this feels a bit too early to bring in Kirk. Hopefully just a one off appearance as I'd rather they concentrate on Pike and his crew for a good while.

^^^ I think it’s better to see what and how there gonna do it then but will easier to judge whether it was a good idea to introduce him in show.

They have to be careful with it, the mistakes of this season of Discovery has me less trusting in their overall choices.
I hope bringing in Kirk so soon doesn't result in less interest in Pike, I'm excited for seeing Pike's story in more detail.
