Tao Geoghegan Hart became only the 2nd British man to win the Giro d'Italia. The Ineos Grenadiers rider finished 39 seconds ahead of Hindley in the 15.7 km time trial.

Ion Izagirre took stage 6 of the Vuelta, Ineos Grenadiers rider Carapaz taking the GC from Roglic. Britain's Hugh Carthy moved up to 2nd on GC.

Stage 7 of the Vuelta was a 160.4 km course from Vitoria-Gasteiz to Vilanueva de Valdegovia with Canadian Michael Woods of EF Pro Cycling victorious. Top of the GC is unchanged.

Roglic wins Stage 8 of the Vuelta & now lies in 2nd place on GC, 13 seconds down on Carapaz, with Dan Martin 3rd 28 seconds behind & Hugh Carthy 4th trailing by 44 seconds.

Pascal Ackermann was promoted to Stage 9 winner after Sam Bennett was demoted after he had been adjudged to have shoulder-charged Emils Liepins. GC unchanged.

Roglic wins Stage 10 of the Vuelta to regain the GC lead over Carapaz, Both riders are tied on the same time, but Roglic has better stage placings.

Frenchman David Gaudu won Stage 11 of the Vuelta. Top of the GC is unchanged, The day started with a protest, led by Ineos Gredadiers, over the time gap cut-off for a bunch sprint which is usual 3 seconds to split finishers & 1 second on a climb. It was changed late in the day & Ineos said they were unaware & Carapaz lost the lead to Roglic believing he was inside the 3 second cut-off which was changed to just 1 second.

Hugh Carthy claimed his 1st Grand Tour Stage win on Stage 12 of the Vuelta, & moved to 3rd on GC. Carapaz now leads by 10 seconds over Roglic, with Dan Martin dropping to 4th.

Roglic won the stage 13 time trial & now has a 39 second lead in the Vuelta over Carapaz,with Caarthy now only 8 seconds behind Carapaz in 3rd.
