It stinks that they can eat that posh food, when some ordinary families and their kids can't even afford to eat or buy that food
just shows how out of touch the Westminster bubble REALLY is at times with reality

If a country with an economy that's in the top ten in the world (for now) has need for food banks, then the government has failed it's citizens. It's a disgrace and under the Tories is only getting worse. That's a fact.

It doesn't help matters when smart arse little trolls poison discussions on such serious matters with their pathetic attention seeking crap Rolleyes

Totally agree. The thing I find amazing is the amount of political capital used up in this for the relative small cost compared to “eat out to help out” could have been turned in to such a positive for a govt under siege.

or those saying it are incredibly short sighted of course there are the usual suspects but there are going to be a lot of people who have worked all there lives and due to the situation we are in now will be forced into poverty due to high rent and fuel prices

Do you know what the biggest drain on the Welfare system is Pensions

maybe we should cut the pension by a 3rd and see how they would moan then Tongue Tongue

Behind closed doors government officials get to live such a lavish lifestyle and never think twice about those less fortunate.
If it doesn't effect them...it's not a priority.
It's a disgrace that Westminster continues to fatten up the MP's and starve the poor.
Boris is losing popularity day by day with stupid decision making.
So out of touch...even his appearance should ring alarm bells. A scruffy mop headed cunt.

It is outrageous that the MP's of ALL parties stuff their faces on fancy grub at cafe prices. (And drink lots of booze as well)
Trouble is there is arguement on both sides. Main point as said earlier it is never the kids fault. The gov allowed extra funding thru benefits - but they dont live in the real world and fail to understand that there are bad parents out there, who spunk it on booze/fags/drugs rather than feed or clothe their kids first.
So they should make sure the vunerable kids get a good meal at least once a day thru the school, also breakfast would be good. And in holidays and weekends.
The welfare system is disjointed and broke. The civil servants running it are lazy and overpaid - but not as much as ALL the greedy MP's.
Come back Guy Fawkes.
