Another Joe Root masterclass. I'm a very proud Yorkshireman today. A really fitting tribute to Captain Sir Tom Moore, with the England team wearing black armbands in his memory.

This new ball could be significant in this test.
If India get through Root and Sibley it could expose the big hitting England middle order.
If not Stokes, Pope and Buttler could put together a large England total.

Form is temporary, class is permament. He really has been magnificent today even when India were bowling really well. Hopefully we can go on and post a huge score.

Root's struggling with cramp... there aren't going to be anymore quick singles today.
Two overs left and both batsman have put down the shutters.

Doh feck and bugger bladewave.
Poor old Dominic Sibley.
Last over of the day and gone Sad.
He worked so hard.

Feel gutted for him Sad.

Bumrah is the last bowler that you want to face in a situation like that. Sibley should've have been really for a yorker as it's one of his main weapons, even if you know it's coming you still have to be able to keep it out at around 90 mph & late swing, good luck. fatigue has a lot to do with it.
A strange quirk has meant that Bubrah is playing in his first home Test Match, his 18th, 3 years after debut. In the 4 home series in that time he has been either injured or rested.

His own fault should have kept trying to get runs , one a player starts trying to block everything to see the day out its amazing how often they get out ,
If he was coming forward trying to score he would not have be out as he would have got to the ball before that late swing, hopefully he will learn form this

I have to say how good dose Root look he's class , hopefully a few others can kick on with him tomorrow and we can get a good first inning score as everyone seams to think the pitch could do a lot on days 4&5
