Back in the day - before 1960 - if you couldn't afford a Roller, Bentley or Jag, you'd plump for one of these equally marvellous looking cars, namely the Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire.

Most expensive car ever sold at public auction
The Ferrari 250 GTO, one of 36 built between 1962-4 sold for £23 million at auction in California.
It once belonged to Olympic skiing champion Henri Oreiller, who was killed in 1962 when he crashed the car at 100mph.
