Anthony Hamilton is through to round 3 of qualifying after a 6-1 win over Rory McLeod.
Sad news today though.
A 6-3 defeat to Bai Langning brought the final curtain down on the 31 year professional career of Alan 'Angles' McManus.
He has announced his retirement from professional play.
Happy retirement Alan.

I'm moved enough to see the WS website to see more details:
Barry Pinches got whitewashed in R1. Rebecca Kenna (?) lost 6-4. Michael White lost 6-4.
Xu Si lost 6-5 to Zhou Yuelong in R3. Slessor, Bond and Dale also went out in the same round. Also Tom Ford.
But Big Bob Milkins won a decider against Joe O'Connor to reach R4 and face Kurt Maflin for a place in the tournament proper.

Mark Davis recovered really well in his match after a hefty early deficit to win by 2 frames against Jamie Clarke.
Matthew Selt is in fine form and looks like a dangerous draw to the seeds in round one at The Crucible.
An excellent 10-7 win for Liam Highfield over Zhou Yuelong too.
