Absolutely shocking & devastating news that one of the best ever bowlers in cricket has passed away. Shane will be massively missed both on the cricket field and off it

Dreadfully shocking news. Shane Warne was the greatest leg spin bowler in the history of cricket, nobody else is even close. He was a truly great cricketer who deserved being voted one of the five greatest cricketers of the 20th century halfway through his test career. A great sportsman with his performances in the Ashes contributing to his legendary status, including his performance in the 2005 Ashes series.
R. I. P. Shane

I had finished work and headed to the pub before seeing my local rugby team and got told the news even 24 hours on I still can't believe it a very gifted cricketer who then was a pretty good pundit and analysis of games was pretty good also rip Shane

Sad news he was a cricketer I would stop doing what I was doing and sit down and watch. He made things happen, was master tactician and the best spin bowler ever. He was Australia through and through and would sweat blood for them. Ashes matches showed his Australia to the core, but so fair with the opposition. He loved the game and the combat within in it but if he lost he was smiles and handshakes with the opposition, even the Poms.

A sad loss for the game and Australia but also for the rest of us too.

RIP SHANE WARNE

His statistics speak for themselves. He is perhaps the greratest icon of the Cricket world that transcended sport in General and beyond. On the field he completely was masterful what he could do with a cricket and possibly reignited interested in leg spin bowling and make it pretty much an art form that it should be. Shane earned the respect of fans all over the world. WE lost a real giant in sport, and there probably will be another like him.

Then, there is THAT ball. To this day I think many of us probably still don't know just what he did when he flighted that ball to Gatting but the iconic thing that one ball changed the whole Ashes series of 1993 and It probably will be never be repeated for a very long time.

He had my respect and admiration and I sum him up by saying that on the field he was a master of his art and those watching him in the flesh
had the privilege of witnessing a truly remarkable performer. Off the field I'd say he was pretty much the sort of bloke that other blokes swould want to sith down & share a cold beer with any day of the week.

Condolenceds to all who knew him, Cricket Australia for allowing us to witnerss his rermarkable and to his family and friends.

Warnie RIP AND
