Discussion. Is Emma Radacanu a one slam wonder ?
DON'T
PANIC Tongue

She's already the most successful British female tennis player in 40 years. She could come on dressed as Ronald McDonald and deliberately miss everything and still be #1 for ages. Even if she never wins another slam, the odds are still in her favour, unless Harriet Dart continues to improve, or someone else.

She's 19 and I don't own a crystal ball. Give her a chance.

Raducanu will be back. At 19 there's plenty of time for her to win more slams, which I think she will. She is an outstanding prospect for British tennis.

Unfortunately Andy Murray went down to John Isner, who delivered an unbeatable serving and volley masterclass. Would love to see Isner reach at least one slam final. Anybody with that blend of power, work ethic and skill deserves a shot at a major.

As for Andy, it's just good to see him again at Wimbledon and still competing after a myriad of surgeries. Perhaps a victorious swansong next year? We'll it's good to dream. Smile

It kinda amazes me that the infamous Mahut-Isner match was back in 2010. Even more amazing that Isner went on to quite a lengthy and somewhat successful career.

A lot of waffle about Murray and Raducanu going out, but not much on Norrie and Dart staying in.

Katie Boulter has done it again.
She has beaten last year's runner up Karolina Pliskova for the second time in as many tournaments. Today she pulled off a fine comeback triumph to win 3-6 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 against the number 6 seed.

Heather Watson is also through to round
three after overcoming Wang Qiang 7-5 6-4.

Liam Broady prevailed in a decider, having looked pretty doomed at 2-1 down.

Harriet Dart missed out though.

Jack Draper took the first set but then found talented Aussie Alex De Minaur too hot to handle. Katie Boulter, watching, may have had split loyalties - I'm sure the Brits all want each other to win - but De Minaur is her boyfriend. Smile

Hoping Cameron Norrie can keep the feel good British factor going tomorrow against American Steve Johnson. Smile

Cameron Norrie brushed aside Steve Johnson to reach the fourth round of a major for the first time.
He won 6-4 6-1 6-0.

Heather Watson also achieved the same milestone with a 7-6 (8-6) 6-2 victory over Kaja Juvan.
