No 167 break, but 3 centuries in the first 3 frames and an 82 break in the 4th frame helped Ronnie to a comfortable 4-0 victory over his long time rival John Higgins. Outstanding performance from Ronnie!

Tubs will presumably have his sanctimonious head on when he gets back to the UK. But he won't have the money hahahahahaahaha

Glad Luca picked the right time to get a good win. Will the money count as ranking points?

No, the Tour Championship counts as a ranking event because it's based on the ranking points earned this season. For this event a player like Tubs who's had a crap season can sponge off the ranking points he got last season to play in it. The only ranking tournaments left this season are the World Open, the Tour Championship and the World Championship. It's good money though, £250K for the winner, £125K for the runner up, £75K for the losing semi-finalists.

Luca's coming back into form in time for the World Championship with a good 4-2 Victory over Mark Allen.

Neither Ronnie or Judd were on the form they were yesterday with both making unforced errors. Ronnie was the better at punishing Judd's errors as he ran out a 4-1 winner.

No 167 break as yet. One more chance in the final between Ronnie and Luca tonight.

Luca was the better player before the interval, but Ronnie was somehow level at 2-2 despite his errors. After the interval Ronnie came out on red-hot form and got 2 centuries in 3 frames to finish off as the winner 5-2.

Another fantastic tournament win for Ronnie! He's become the first player to win a professional tournament in Saudi Arabia. He's also now got the record for winning the most amount of prize money in a single season, although only 2 of the 5 tournaments he's won have been ranking events; the World Grand Prix and the UK Championship. And he's still got the World Championship to come!

No 167 break this tournament, but the golden ball will be back, if not in the Saudi Arabia Masters at the end of August, then in this tournament when it returns next year.

I'm more pleased for Luca. It's always a stigma to be a first time world champion (especially when unexpected) and hope to carry on at events when suddenly elevated in status. He's not really followed on well from it.
