It's supposed to be easy, but what's forgetten is the revolving door of girls who attempt to do this, sit on a bed for 6 hours and struggle to get a single private or tip regardless of what platform they're on.
I can't imagine the toll it takes on ones mental health and self esteem when that happens. And that is more common than the "shake phone non stop" and become a high 5 figure/6 figure earner

£££ is the obvious answer, but I expect the question was asking for more.
I’m sure they all have different reasons.
For some, their looks are their greatest asset, with little education and few tradeable skills, and this is the best paying job they can get for what they are gifted with.
I think lots of them are introduced to it via friends. One girl takes the leap, succeeds, and makes a bunch of money — her friends see it and want a piece of the action. I know of a few who joined that way.

Quite often the opposite. Crippling lack of self-esteem and no confidence, with a bit of body dysmorphia thrown in, and the shows become a source of comfort and validation.
Whatever the reason, I expect a lot get into it thinking it’s just a temporary gig to pay the rent and put food on the table, but they’ll stop when something better comes along. But “something better” just drifts further and further away, usually because they won’t find something that pays as well, and — even if they could — they are partly compromised by their online presence.
I’m sure there’s a lot more to it, but I expect these are at least some of the reasons…

i am more of a voyeur than a poster but in my experience the girls like the flexibility of only working a few days a month and earning more than they would elsewhere.
the validation of men (strangers) telling them how hot they are feeds the ego and the allure of then slipping into porn or prostitution is an easy osmosis.
what i find sad is the number of girls who are still doing it 10-15+ years later. having had kids and still seeking a paycheck and confidence boost while constantly having to enhance their appearance with implants, tattoos, facial aesthetics et al just to stay relevant and chase the youthfulness which has left the building. i know we all have our favourite girls but if we bypass that myopia - do any of them look better than they did?
to be fair i don't look like i did at 23 either but i don't get my boobs out on tv for my kids to see and their friends to google

But nowadays, with the forever-memory of the Internet, it feels like prostitution is their best option for capitalising on their looks, making money while they can, yet STILL retaining some anonymity, some privacy and the open option of a ‘normal’ life whenever they choose to resume it.

Thanks for all the responses, it's quite insightful. I know to many this kinda thing doesnt matter but, for me, it's interesting. Im always intrigued by behaviours etc.
Anyway....I'm still stuck on what I think may lead the babes into the industry. For sure, the money is a huge lure, but you can only make good money if you have a decent enough fan base to buy content, make calls etc.
Then you only make a decent fanbase if you tick the boxes of looking good and/or be willing to push yourself into a variety niches to broaden your appeal.
Using Beth as an example (of course!!) she's extremely hard working and features on BS, has OF and works with many creators of niche content. Great move for making money and appealing to larger audiences. Plus she genuinely seems to enjoy it!
But, at what stage does a babe decide this is the industry for them? I'm still unsure. Do they look in the mirror and be "fuck I'm hot,.I get loads of guys chatting me up, let's cash in!"
Or is there something else, perhaps deeper, like a previous poster mentioned, a need for validation?
I also wonder about the motivation for making content or doing a shift on the channels. For example, we might rock up to a 9-5 job and do relatively normal things. The babes have to "get into character" and maintain the illusion of being constantly horny and craving everything a guy wants. I can imagine, at times that can be tough.
Intrigued to see what else people have to say.
