BBC alba has launched a placeholder ready for launch on june 8.
BBC alba placeholder is on channel 8 and tele G has now been reduced to a caption without channel number attached to it.
Retune now to get the new placeholder ready for the launch of bbc alba

ITV2 +1 starts at 6pm 1/6/11
According to the Freeview EPG, next week ITV are taking advantage of the unused hour from 6pm-7pm on Mux A in England & NI, plus the former Tele-G slot in Scotland. LCN27 ITV2 +1 will be running 6pm-6am timesharing with LCN72 CITV.
This doesn't apply to Wales where ITV2 +1 runs 7pm to 6am timesharing with LCN46 Challenge

Eleventh stream is coming to Mux A and other changes today
Mux A has had a new encoder fitted today because null packets are up from 500kbps to over 3Mbps. And that is with ten streams being broadcast. All the individual bitrates are reduced and most below 2Mbps. It looks similar to the bitrates achieved by Arqiva on Muxes C & D. Mostly the PQ on Arqiva muxes has been an improvement on what was there before. Let's hope the same happens to Mux A.If the BBC used the same encoder, no doubt they would be able to get another commercial stream on Mux B along with Arqiva A, and this could be what was advertised recently.
So that means the new SDN stream available in July is very likely to be the eleventh Mux A stream. I suppose ITV will be using it either for 24/7 ITV2 +1 or ITV4 or even something else.
Other changes today; LCN308 TOPUP Anytime2 has been removed along with its TUTV Data Service. Anytime2 remains in the NIT for the time being. The TUTV Data Service, which is a 29kbps stream carrying a short EPG and activations etc, has been transferred to LCN307 TOPUP Anytime1.

I have just checked MUX A and all of the above mentioned changes by Mr Anderson that happened yesterday have been reversed.
Null Packets are back down, top up tv anytime 2 is back and there data service is back attached to anytime 2.
There not launching a new channel till July so todays changes and reversal look like a test.

yep just had a look it back to how it was odd to do a test on a live mux i think these changes will happen soon Mr a i seen on other forums that itv4 is moveing is this true i cant find any think to say itv4 is moving keep up the good work if i miss any think you can post like a tag team

Tv news on channel 90 has just this second had there off air mheg changed to say:
This service has closed. Thank you for watching tv news. This slot is on the qvc beauty stream and only frees up 6am-8am.
Forgot to mention there is also 1 hour thats been free for a while before tv news starts.
So empty on the mux d slot at the minute is 5am-8am
Yesterday+1 has also got themselves a new freeview ofcom license.
