Shame it wasn't for a few more million. Maybe that's why Wigan were holding out, hoping what they'd lost in sell on fee's would be made up so upped his value ?
Chelsea look like they'll get there man, Wigan get the cash, and Palace take a slice of the pie as well. Everyone's a winner.

Worth every penny just to see Merse try to pronounce his name on Soccer Saturday. Good signing though, desperately needed a right-back

Of all the clubs he was linked to, Liverpool, Tottenham, West H/am, and it was Sunderland in the end... Should have laid some Money on it when I heard.
Hopefully now he'll get the chance to shine and be the player he has the potential to be.

Great move for him and Sunderland! Both will benefit a lot from the move, and as you say, he will get a chance to show what he is really capable of.
Also heard that Surin (spelling?) guy from Real Madrid is going to Liverpool on loan, but time will tell.
Victor Moses signed with Chelsea officially now too....not sure how or where he fits in that team though

martin o'neil likes his wingers. this transfer can be the making adam johnson and could push him to be a starter in the england team.
sahin has completed the loan move to liverpool, it has been suggested that liverpool are paying a higher percentage of sahin's wages than arsenal are willing to do even sahin wanted to move to arsenal. if sahin can produce the goods like he did at borussia dortmund before his move to real madrid then liverpool have a very good midfielder. also joe cole is rumoured to be for sale.
