I thought Germany had got out of jail with that last gasp goal against Sweden. Now after losing 2-0 to South Korea they finish bottom of the group.
Big congratulations to Sweden for bouncing back from their German heartache and beating Mexico 3-0 to win the group. Mexico still qualify though.

I wouldn't be at all surprised. Gutted the Argies are through after their lame display against Croatia. But the big teams always seem to find a way.
I'm always amused that those within the industry like to see the big teams go through but the man in the street likes to see them go out.

Germany are woeful - they've been fucking awful in this tournament, and they've got what they deserved. No hard luck story, bottom of the group is where they've deserved after three really poor matches.
It's also the sixth time in World Cup history that the defending champions have failed to make it out of the group stage. It happened to Italy in 1950, It happened to Brazil in 1966, It happened to France in 2002, it happened to Italy again in 2010 and it happened to Spain in 2014.
But I never expected it to happen to Germany. Oh well!

I do feel sorry for Low though he is a great coach with a great footballing philosophy and the players on the pitch let him down...
