^^ Tymal Mills needs to come into the t20 side to take some of the fast blowing pressure of Archer i think

In terms of fielding your best side. England have Root & Woakes back home & Archer unfit. Much harder to judge when it comes to India, still without Bumrah & no Pant, with K L Rahul taking the gloves.
Interestingly both teams have brothers in their line-ups which can't have happened that often, if at all.

India made 317/5.

Some very poor bowling from England in the last 9 overs.

With Stokes & Moeen Ali, England possess 2 genuine allrounders, giving them the luxury f 6 bowlers, without weakening their batting. The pitch didn't really turn, so by the time Ali came on to bowl, India were well set & took advantage. It was Stokes day, got lucky with wickets off poor balls, but went ok, & it was worth giving him 10 overs today, even 2 at the death. Archer & Woakes would be the usual pair, & Wood doesn't have all the variations, so Stokes was an option.
England got back into the match after Dharwan & Kohli looked in control. They had a good spell prior to the last 10 or so overs with wickets slowing the scoring, before Rahul showed his class after a disappointing T20 series & Kunal Pandya on debut, another spinning allrounder who could give Washington Sundar a run for his money, maybe Sundar is the better bowler. Kunal took 3 boundaries off Sam Curran which got him off to a flying start, poor bowling to a new batsman.

A pretty disastrous game in the end.
Woeful death bowling, awful collapse, middle order not firing.

The tour goes from bad to worse.

Yesterday was a shambles, how the middle order didn't play senseable I don't know all we had to do pick.up the ones and take and would have won that game easy, why do they all think every ball has to go for a 4, England look a one trick pony at the moment unable to change to what's going on ina match, honestly think the captain been in the job far to long to many in the side as his mate

I'm a massive Morgan fan, but I couldn't believe what I was hearing at yesterdays post match interview. He trotted out the old line "this is how we play". It was what he said when he took over the captaincy & they batted first & got bowled out with around 10 overs to spare. He was making a statement of intent, but now, with an experienced batting line-up, someone had to stand up & take control. It was said after that Root would've done just that if he'd been in the side. So Root has to carry the ODI teams batting as well as the Test side.

Morgan will miss the 2 remaining ODI matches after a hand injury that he sustained in the field during the 1st match, which required stitches. He was able to bat, but was protecting it during fielding practice & has decided that it will take time to heal. Billings will miss the 2nd match & his fitness will be assessed before the final game. Livingstone looks likely to make his ODI debut, & Malan has been added to to squad from the reserves.
