Another mass shooting in the US, this time in Nashville. A 28 year old female shooter opened fire at The Covenant School which is a primary school.

At this stage six people are confirmed dead.
Three children and three adults.

Depressing in the extreme Sad.

Thoughts & prayers.... Then on to the next mass shooting.

Land of the free, home of the lunatic.

Apparently the shooter was armed with at least two assault rifles as well as a handgun.
It is being suggested she was also a former pupil at the school.

It has become apparent that the shooter Audrey Hale had legally bought SEVEN guns prior to the attack on the school.
All three of the children killed were 9 years old.

The US has an atrocious record of mass shootings and the gun lobby wields too much influence. Endless lives lost.
It is just so gut wrenching to see innocent lives lost so repeatedly. I keep asking the question in my head When is the US going to wake up and smell the coffee on this. Regrettably the conclusion seems to be never.
Utterly ridiculous Huh.

^2nd Amendment. Constitutional Right to Bear Arms etc etc. Getting through to the likes of the NRA that the Founding Fathers never could have imagined that Assault Weapons would some day be easily accessible to Joe Public will forever be impossible.

The 2nd Amendment Right should apply to weapons available at the time it was written. I doubt that Billy-Bob would be very keen on showing off his musket at the weekly Klan Piss-up.

Sandy Hook was the turning point and they drove right past it

Once Americans decided they were willing to accept children being turned into confetti the debate was over

It’s horrible to think about it but I don’t think anything will change until a child or grandchild of a Republican Congressman or Senator dies in one of these all too frequent events

^ You'd think, but I honestly don't think it would, the disconnect on this issue is utterly baffling.
