I think the focus needs to shift away form the super league now. It's been killed ... for the time being, but the super league itself wasn't the issue, it was just an inevitable (and awful) symptom of the disease of greed and corruption in the game.

Pundits and Sky etc are still banging on about the super league being awful without really mentioning the ridiculous new champions league format or the proposed new fifa world club cup. Both these things have the same flaws and criticisms of the super league. They don't benefit the fans, the players or the game in any way and are being proposed just to make more money for Uefa and Fifa. And who's going to broadcast these tournaments ? Sky and BT, who'll throw insane money at it perpetuating the same cycle, but they haven't said much at all against them yet, not as far as I've seen anyway.

Real change is needed, salary caps, transfer caps, more control on agents' influence and serious financial fair play rules these are the discussions and arguments that are needed now, especially with the football fan base energised. But I think all those establishments crying about the super league (sky, bt, all their pundits and uefa etc), will stay quiet on these issues and use the super league to deflect from them, as it'll mean their pockets get lighter if the proper and necessary changes needed for real sustainability are implemented.

I think a British Cup could work and it probably be more easier to make then trying to get them into the English League , i mean the Scottish Teams play in Europe if they qualify so it should be easy to make a British Cup.

Many people in the game are complaining about too many matches already.

I assume your intention is that the British Cup would replace the current League Cup, because otherwise there's no way of fitting the extra fixtures in.

The Scottish League Cup would have to be scrapped as well.

I'm sceptical of how successful such a competition would be. It reminds me of the Anglo-Scottish Cup which took place from 1975-81, in which both Celtic and Rangers featured The Scottish clubs withdrew in the end due to there not being much interest in it. The concept was resurrected in 1987, but rather than a whole cup competition it was now just a two-legged tie between the holders of the FA Cup and the holders of the Scottish Cup. After a 1-1 draw between Coventry and St. Mirren the clubs decided not to bother with the second leg.

9 of the 12 super league breakaway teams have formally renounced the plan and will have 5% of their European revenue lost for 1 season. Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus are still in.

I believe they also have to pay fine to a childrens charity or something

I wonder if UEFA will hit the three left in with something far heavier?

So Juventus will be kicked out of Serie A if they don't withdraw from the Super League not the first time that has happened to them under different circumstances of course , i guess the same will happen to the 2 Spanish Clubs to Barcelona and Real Madrid it would of happened to the English Clubs to if they didn't leave on there own terms i would of still liked something to happen to them club's tho deducted points of something.

To think Juventus won Serie A 9 years in a row after being kicked out last time is unheard of really i know they are a big club but it's still unbelievable really.
