RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - HannahsPet - 27-11-2024 18:10 it wont get thru all they do is debate it im sure only the torys will vote for it the others prob wont just worried about all the usual rent a mob will turn up and cause trouble RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - lovebabes56 - 27-11-2024 23:10 The Met will probably ask Boris if they can borrow his water cannon Be ironic if there is a train strike on that day and the tube was shut down. I wonder how many times Elon Musk signed it? I haven't signed because simply think it will be not given much parliamentary time and I'm sure Keir will find a way to bury it. RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - munch1917 - 28-11-2024 07:46 It's not even debated in the actual commons, its in the hall of westminster or something, a separate debating chamber, so the whole thing is really just pantomine. RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - lovebabes56 - 28-11-2024 10:26 Probably it will be how Keir will attempt to bury it with the least minimum of fuss as possible. RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - The Silent Majority - 28-11-2024 23:41 The debate is clearly not going to go anywhere. But it's still hugely embarrassing for Starmer this soon after the election. He might have had a landslide victory, but he still only managed 1/2million less votes than Corbyn. Who was pretty much unelectable... RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - Tumble_Drier - 29-11-2024 00:00 Oh dear, oh dear... https://news.sky.com/story/transport-secretary-louise-haigh-admits-pleading-guilty-to-offence-in-connection-with-misleading-police-in-2014-13262362 Everyone knows that the easiest way to get your old work phone replaced is for it to accidentally fall out of your pocket as you're getting out of the car. Allegedly, your Honour! RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - lovebabes56 - 30-11-2024 12:34 All I can say is : - Robert Jenrick should never be allowed anywhere near a Tory leadership contest again after how he took part & spoke in the assisted dying debate. I have heard the whole debate was done in a sensitive manner that presented the arguments for & against it most sensitivealy and with as little party politics involved as possible. The next time he opens his gob in a sensitive debate, may I request the Tory Chief whip has a word with him beforehand and tell him he gets his fucking brain in gear and stick to the subject in hand. If there is queue to punch him in the face I'm probably a long way down it RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - Rammyrascal - 30-11-2024 18:45 (30-11-2024 12:34 )lovebabes56 Wrote: All I can say is : - Was going to post about this myself. Absolutely disgusting & then some what Robert Jenrick did & said during the assisted dying debate. Me behind you in the punching queue RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - The Silent Majority - 30-11-2024 21:38 What exactly did he say? I've not seen any outrage anywhere else. RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - Tumble_Drier - 30-11-2024 22:32 ^He had a swipe at the ECHR, just a case of wrong place & time really as the rest of the debate was surprisingly grown up. |
