Eagles 16 - 9 Lions
The Super Bowl champs are starting to look hard to beat. For the second week they've shut down 2 high scoring offences restricting the Packers to 7 points last week & the Lions 9.
You have to question the Lions overly aggressive play calling when both teams struggled to get into the end zone they failed 5 times on 4th down & on most occasions when in field goal range.
Goff was never allowed to settle & he could find no rhythm at all.

BEARS WIN!!!!!

Don't worry there's still plenty of time for the Bears to implode, like they usually do at this time of the session. I put it down to the cold winds that they get at this time of the year.

^At the moment I don’t think the Bears will implode. They've had multiple opportunities to do so this season & haven't, they've instead comeback multiple times to win and are now top of the NFC North Smile

Detroit's loss last night has taken them out of the playoff positions & been replaced by Chicago who are no3 playoff seed at moment Smile

The Bears have exceeded expectations, they are not the finished article, but have finally found a QB for the future. They've 6 close games 7 won 5 of them, despite giving up more points than they have score they have a winning record.
Of their remaining games only the Browns have a losing record & they face the Packer twice, the NFC North is tough.

Definitely exceeded my expectations for this season. If you'd have said to me Chicago would be right now 7-3 & top of NFC North, I'd have said "are you on something"

Yes the NFC North and the Bears remaining schedule is tough, but i do think Chicago will do well enough over the rest of the season to make the playoffs, probably as a wild card

TNF
Texans 23 - 19 Bills
With starting QB C J Stroud a week away from returning back-up Davis Mills was competent enough throw 2 TD's & had not interceptions, his number weren't flash 16-30, 153 yards, but was enough to improve his record as a starter to 3-0.
Whilst Josh Allen was 24-34, 253 yards he weas unable to find the end zone & had 2 picks, significantly the unrelenting Texans pass rush sacked Allen 8 times which is surprising given his scrambling ability & how evasive he usually is.
In the final seconds it seamed that Allen would stage yet another come from behind victory, only for the No.1 ranked defence to repel the Bills in the Red Zone by pushing them back with a sack & killing the drive with an interception.
The Texans move above 500 after their 3rd straight win & are right back in the mix for the playoffs.
The AFC playoff picture is much less clear than the NFC.

Yay ravens won building nicely and injuries seem to easing
Good win for the packers for my good friend over my work colleague vikings
And queue happy dance for rammys bears in a highly entertaining game against the Steelers

My Lions giving me heart attacks as usual. Still in the mix but Thursday against the Packers will make or break this season.
