RE: Dr Who - The Silent Majority - 29-07-2021 22:07 I think they'll have to go female again, for at least one more Doctor, otherwise Jodie's tenure will just look like a failed experiment. RE: Dr Who - Rammyrascal - 29-07-2021 23:14 ^^ Yeah. I think it will be a female doctor again RE: Dr Who - SmĀ© - 24-09-2021 16:35 Russell T Davies to return as Doctor Who showrunner RE: Dr Who - ShandyHand - 24-09-2021 17:00 ^ Last best chance at salvation for the show in its current form. Congrats to whoever pulled this off. Guaranteed an even bigger ratings spike for the 60th than it would have got anyway - and for the start of the series 14. But... All now depends on how much of the BBC's so called "progressive" agenda Davies wants to put up there onscreen. And how much of Chibnall's changes to the Doctor's history he is willing to repeal. Ignore the bullshit in the BBC'S statement, Whits and Chibs achieved exactly nothing with this show. The general audience massively rejected their vision for it. If the show is to continue after 2024 it must ditch most of what it has turned into in the last few years. The critiques will get ever more savage if not. Some of the animation was a bit ooly-wooly, and the use of facial shadows in FFTD meant the colour version looked better. That said, the telesnaps seemed least footled about with, and even there they couldn't resist it. As for RTD - the man who employed John "pervert" Barrowman and Noel "hardly Mr Wonderful" Clarke - he's probably just a caretaker appointment and may be lucky to last the distance. RE: Dr Who - Doddle - 08-10-2021 07:22 Season 17 trailer thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fwv3-PGCw8o There's a teaser for the next series going around too (even I spotted it on BBC1). K9 would still have trouble getting down from that landing spot though lol. Is David Goodersoon revoicing Davros in the actual story? He's actually more Davros sounding now than then. RE: Dr Who - *Kal-El* - 15-10-2021 23:52 Doctor Who: Flux Official Trailer https://youtu.be/xDUvFdGu6JE RE: Dr Who - ShandyHand - 16-10-2021 01:51 Good redesign of the Sontarens. Now we just need acting, dialogue and plotting to be on that level and we might be getting some place! Whitt remains one note in the trailer. Though in the scene with her and Yaz tied upside down she hits the right note for once. They are still trying to highlight comedy. And after Chibs going away from arcs and old monsters this will be all arc and a lot of old monsters by the looks (crammed into 6 ep's). Could prove over egged or perfectly contained by the format (remember Torchwood's Children of Earth benefitted from this). We shall have more clue by the end of the month. Not long to wait.
