Still moaning about the possibility of being moves into Tier 3, when they should've been in the highest tier weeks ago. Asking for financial help if these tougher restrictions are imposed. London will get every penny, at the expense of rest of the country.

it dose make me LOL that they are proposing closing all the schools in London even though the Gov has said they would not close the schools again just to try to keep the shops open in the run up to xmas,
the CMO has said doing this will a, cause more harm than good to the children and there families and b, its the huge numbers in London mixing doing the xmas shopping, still all going out together at night, and starting to all travel together to work again thats doing it, all things that level 3 would stop but they dont want to lose the money letting people do all the above is making them,

Hull had the highest in infection rate in the country which peaked at 780 cases per 100k & is was down to 190 at the end of the previous week. They received minimal help.

Big cover up with regards schools. A track & trace worker from the Hull & East Riding area has said that a substantial percentage of the positive cases are children of primary school age.
A lot of conflicting information out there.

Me too. I’ve been cheesed off with this for months. As I’ve said I live in Greater Manchester and I definately think there is bias towards London & south (in particular the south east) with numerous examples of the government only giving support & help when London is affected & needs support. Greater Manchester has essentially been in tier 2 or 3 since the summer, yet the government only has offered support when London needs it.
Expecting London to get bucketloads of money to support it when it goes into tier 3 (case of when) which it didn’t offer to the likes of greater manchester when it went into tier 3 in October

Hackney & City of London on 237 (Greenwich 248) per 100,000 on tier 2
it is a joke how the tiers are done in west somerset where i live its 77 per 100000 yet Basildon just outside London is running at 614 per 100000 yet has the same restrictions as where i live,

It's likely that London and Essex will be placed in Tier 3 when Hancock speaks in The House of Commons at 3.30 today

i cant agree with the term South, if you said south east i would agree with you, as living in the south west i can say its probable more forgotten about than the north at lease you have a number of big city to give you a voice we have nothing like that , i think people look at how pretty the south west looks and dont realize what a poor area it is, i wish we would have had the money spent on us in the last 10 years on huge projects the north, poetically the north west has had in it,

^^ My bad, I would guess that the South West's economy is heavily reliant on tourism, which has pretty much been on hold for much of this pandemic. The only help the South west got was the wrong sort, with the rich spreading the virus from the South East when they went to their holiday homes.

this backs that up i think, hopefull they look to drop some of the north east and yourshire to level 2 as places like Gateshead are now down to only 94 per 100000, its not right if places are not getting dropped down when they do well,

The announcement for London & Essex is I think going to be made today because of how their caseload is accelerating. The other areas will be reviewed as planned on Wednesday with changes taking place a couple of days later
