If it was down to Ofcom it would take them 3-6 months to discuss the matter internally, draft a consultation and get it signed off by the Ofcom board, plus any time for discreet cosultations with main broadcasters. They would also have to coordinate with the advertising bodies and possibly ICTIS (premium rate phone regulator). They would then publish a consultation - I think they typically allow 3 months for replies. Depending on the number of responses they could take a further 3 months to digest the response. If the consultation went their way they would then publish their findings and new rules typically take immediate effect.

Say 6-9 months.

If instead Parliament decided to legislate, no idea but at a guess the DCMS would have to draft a law, it would usually be announced as an aspiration for the next session of Parliament, then would have to go through debates in both houses. Watch out of career sharks tabling amendments to please the gutter press. Laws dont usually take immediate effect, it is considered polite to give several months warning. Ofcom would then need to update the Broadcasting Code, but might be able to shortcut the procedure. Say 1 year minumum.

Dont know about the watershed in other countries, but I suspect most have controls on free to air channels until the evening. (Except the French who have a slightly different attitude to nudity, as well as pissing in the street). Might be different for encrypted channels.

Nail, head. Nice post, bud.

I no we've touched on this before, however I was thinking why don't they do the same like Babestation x, and have a secure pin where you have to give your e mail address and your credit card details exactly what Babestation uses?
I mean If there was a 241 all action leg spread full frontal action on redlight TV for example, I'd pay a fiver depending who'd be on of course?Smile

It cost money to run an encrypted feed like that. A lot of the existing girls won't go 'all out' on such shows (read the complaints on the BSX threads) which means employing other girls to provide the content to keep people subscribing to recoup the costs etc
Logistically it becomes a big investment, and I guess the other channels simply don't feel it's an investment worth making.

Bear in mind as well that the BSX encrypted channel only runs on freeview. I think the discussion around the time it was launched was that to run such a channel on Sky would require paying a hefty premium to Sky for the encrypted feed, which would make the whole thing economically unviable.
Why pay a hefty cost for an encrypted tv feed which is still subject to broadcasting restrictions, when you can run an anything goes webcam show on the website for a whole lot less?

Ofcom's latest bulletin came out today issue number 217 and dated 05/11/2012 only one babe channel gets a mention as far as i can see , Ofcom have decided to launch a new investigation into a complaint made about Studio 66 for something that occurred on the night show on 10/10/2012 on Studio 66 4 , Ofcom don't mention what it is about .
There aren't any complaints made against any other babe channel as far as i can see, there doesn't even seem to be any complaints made that Ofcom think are not worth investigating either.

RE: Ofcom Discussion - mrmann - 05-11-2012 17:21

Pretty sure I know which moment this complaint is referring to.

Likely a rival producer, babe or non fan who is doing this, as usual.

i cant recall seeing anything on studio/elite that would have given reason for complaint in a long time how cautious they are Huh

RE: Ofcom Discussion - Rammyrascal - 05-11-2012 18:41

yeah agree shankey, studio66/elite have been cautious for quite a while now. every since ofcom started strictly enforcing the rules the babeshows elite/studio66 have toned the shows down to comply with the new rules. i think they did that from when the babeshows got reclassified

i expect like with most complaints studio66 have been getting, it will either be thrown out with no further action, or s66 will get a slap on the wrist

good news that the babeshows arent really getting any complaints at the moment

RE: Ofcom Discussion - jimmyt73 - 05-11-2012 19:32

The reason there are fewer complaints is the lack of adult content in any of these shows simple as that.

RE: Ofcom Discussion - Scottishbloke - 05-11-2012 20:10

I'd personally like to complain to ofcom about the tame shows, they are failing to meet my expectations. Also since when did watching very attractive women on the telly putting on a sexy show become a crime. I must have been taking a shit when that was decided bladewave

Tonight is Guy Fawkes tonight, I wonder if in the future we'll have our own bonfire night and call it ED Richards night Important

Both he and ofcom could be thrown into the fire because in the future when we reflect on the babe channels past and present Ofcom will be a name that will forever be infamous and the ones who almost destroyed the babe channels so long as they are still here by which hopefully we will have such threads such as which babe has the best pussy lips Rolleyes

I might just make up a banner in the meantime with ofcom on it and throw it into the fire as a statement of my disgust towards these fascists.

Definitely.
It's like living under Orwell's 1984 scenario.
People snitching on each other to gain favour with the authorities.

(Present company excepted, of course).
