RE: Game Of Thrones - bytor - 16-03-2014 08:58 George RR Martin has voiced a worry that the TV shows might catch up with him before he can finish writing the last two books, Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring. The following excerpt is from an interview in Vanity Fair where he talks about his plans. The season that’s about to debut covers the second half of the third book. The third book [A Storm of Swords] was so long that it had to be split into two. But there are two more books beyond that, A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons. A Dance with Dragons is itself a book that’s as big as A Storm of Swords. So there’s potentially three more seasons there, between Feast and Dance, if they split into two the way they did [with Storms]. Now Feast and Dance take place simultaneously. So you can’t do Feast and then Dance the way I did. You can combine them and do it chronologically. And it’s my hope that they’ll do it that way and then, long before they catch up with me, I’ll have published The Winds of Winter, which’ll give me another couple years. It might be tight on the last book, A Dream of Spring, as they juggernaut forward. RE: Game Of Thrones - Charlemagne - 02-04-2014 07:20 I see that they are broactcasting the show worldwide at the same time.. So although it is being broadcast on Monday 7th April, it's at 2am. You definitely have to watch from the first season. It changes so much and is so intrically woven you will not apreciate it. The story evolves each episode and is not a seperate story every week RE: Game Of Thrones - Rammyrascal - 03-04-2014 08:34 ok thanks for that, ill act on the advice and start from series 1 RE: Game Of Thrones - Charlemagne - 05-04-2014 14:14 Don't forget that Series 4 starts on Monday morning. Two well known girls of the forum are supposed to have been cast... Samantha Bentley Jessica Jensen But their character names are not yet known RE: Game Of Thrones - bytor - 07-04-2014 14:51 Just watched the first episode of season 4. Excellent opener to the new series and a good adaptation of the book. Anyone who has read the books will know what awaits this season |
