Fernandez was that aimed at me? I've just said as plain as day I'm pleased with the achievement of qualifying. Wouldn't call what I've said moaning Huh

Yep fair point but a play off just filled me with dread Sad.
true as a luton supporter and a nottingham forest follower i know all about playoff agony, but i would be confident england would beat most of the teams in the playoffs the tricky ones are portugal and france

of course not but it wasn't win or bust tonight technically, if we had to play portugal or france in the playoffs then i would worry, but i would have been confident of our chances against any other team who are in the playoffs, i was confident we would win tonight and we did, some people have gone from the extreme of thinking we were a great side a few years ago saying we could win the world cup to thinking we are totally crap now and just cos we weren't 3-0 up at half time against Montenegro they wanted to slit their wrists

He would give a better option I think too Wellbeck for you if he keep playing how he is now.

I'm happy after tonight's result- Townsend looks 'the real deal' indeed. If that shot (which struck the crossbar) had gone in, it would've been one of the greatest of England goals; his dexterity was marvellous. He also laid on the ball well for others- great team player and how England needs that combination of skill and smarts.
