Big wicket Warner gives it away caught Carberry bowled Broad for 29 off 32 balls,Aus 34-1 - 8 overs.

Looks like a good pitch. Australia will no doubt be happy with a draw here and then hope to work England over in Perth. From what I've seen so far I'd say England have picked the right team. Let's hope there's some reverse swing later on, otherwise I can see Swann and Panesar bowling a lot of overs.

Swann was on as early as the 14th over.

Lunch was taken early because of rain with Australia 46/1 in 14.2 overs.

Rogers and Watson have both gone now and Australia are 155/3.

Tea is taken with Australia on 174/4. A wicket each for Broad, Anderson, Swann and Panesar.

3 wickets for 19 runs, big last season,Australia bat deep with Clarke & Bailey good players of spin & the quick scoring Haddin & Johnson to follow this wont be easy. Will have to hope the 2nd new ball offers more movement.

202 - 4 looks good odds that the Aussies will post a big score here. I bet Cook wished he made the right call now, and was batting first. we need a couple of wickets before close of play.
