Sadly FIFA probably preferred France to qualify. Wonder what would have happened if an Irish player had done it. Bet you would have been made to replay the tie

That suspicion was doing the rounds. It's also a pity sky hired Henry validading him all over again wish he would just go away for awhile

Undoubtedly. They even changed the rules before those play offs began. Originally they said there would be no seeding, but then they realised that France and Germany could meet and decided there were going to be seedings after all to make sure they didn't. A total fix.
